Azita Ghanizada is one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous television shows. Her family fled Afghanistan and tried to seek asylum in the US. The actress was born in the US. Her parents raised her sisters who resided in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her TV career by being featured in National Commercials. In the Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada portrayed the main character of Chiara a performance for which she won an award for best actress at a film festival nomination.
